Street Feast @ Merchant Yard Closing Party
Posted on
From April to June, London's coolest street food night market took place at Merchant Yard in Haggerston. Street Feast had renovated an old builders merchants on Kingsland Road and filled it with London's best street food traders, a Rotary bar and Ben Spalding's Stripped Back dining experience.
Street Feast is London’s pioneering night market. Since launching in May 2012 we have taken over car parks, breweries, warehouses, old tube stations, and builders merchants to create a unique haven for lovers of great food and drink. Animating and transforming empty spaces in London is an important part of our process, taking care to create environments that become a viable alternative to being in a pub or restaurant, and a home for a new and vibrant night market culture in London.
The site is going to be turned into a school, so at the end of June Street Feast organised a big closing party to say goodbye to the fantastic Merchant Yard. Here I've shared my favourite photos from the last Friday and Saturday.
Fear not, Street Feast is coming back TONIGHT at a new location, the Thames House Car Park in Dalston! :)
On the last Friday and Saturday of Street Feast at Merchant Yard, there was food from many traders such as Yum Bun, Big Apple Hot Dogs, Flat Iron, Cooking Cooks, You Doughnut, Fish Dog, Bleecker Burger, Sweet Tooth Factory (and more)!
Amazing ice-cream collaboration: Sorbitium roasted white chocolate with Dalston Chillies Raspberry, Scotch Bonnet Ripple.
Great location, drinks and food, but most of all it was about great people and vibes!
Thanks Merchant Yard for the great memories!
