We arrived early on a Saturday morning, the restaurant had just opened (brunch is served from 10am to 4pm). We ordered fresh juices and coffee straight-away.
From the brunch menu, I tried the Smoked Salmon with crispy potato pancakes and thick Yogurt.
My friends ordered the Hickory Smoked Duck Hash with fried duck egg and spicy ketchup; the Buttermilk Pancake Stack with house smoked sausage; and the 'East London' with latkes, bacon and eggs.
I am a fan of Carl's food, he is always able to create special and unique dishes. The Duck Hash looked beautiful and really upped the game for brunch dishes out there.
My highlight was the DIY Bloody Mary bar, with fresh ingredients and London's best hot sauces! My friend Charlotte Hu prepared one with bacon-infused tequila, Dalston Chillies, passion fruit liquor and sherry. It gives you the right kick to start the weekend! ;)
Rotary Bar & Diner will only be open until the end of the year, as the entire block where it's located is scheduled for demolition and redevelopment. One good reason to visit soon!
